In Times of Crisis

Emergency relief and disaster response is one of FOLMADI's twelve impact areas. When our communities face a crisis, we respond through the people they already trust.

Current status: FOLMADI has no active emergency response at present. Our current work is focused on education and health in Akabor community, Oguta LGA, Imo State. If your community is facing an emergency and you would like to talk to us, please contact us.

HOW WE RESPOND

Local first

We respond through the partners we already work with every day — parish leadership, school administrators, traditional leaders and mothers' groups — who know who needs help most.

Specific needs

We act on needs confirmed on the ground, not assumed from a distance, and we say clearly what we can and cannot provide.

Accountable relief

Relief items are issued against named registers and receipts, and we report back to donors and to the community on what was delivered.

Working with others

Where a crisis is larger than we are, we connect affected families with government agencies and established relief organisations rather than duplicate them.
