About Us
Friends of Like Mind Akabor Development Initiative (FOLMADI) is a registered Nigerian nonprofit rooted in Akabor community, Oguta LGA, Imo State. We work alongside communities to support people of every age through education, healthcare, protection and economic empowerment.
OUR MISSION
To work alongside communities to create lasting change by supporting children, youth, adults and seniors through healthcare, education, protection and economic empowerment programmes — with particular attention to closing the gap between urban and rural communities.
We start from the community we are named after. Our work begins with the people who hold trust locally — schools, churches, traditional leaders and families — so that every project answers a real, specific need and stays accountable to the people it serves.
Our vision is a community in which every person, regardless of age or location, has the support needed to reach their full potential.
